Bradenton has grudgingly tolerated the presence of strip clubs for too long. Since 2005 the county commisioners have been embroiled in a bitter legal battle to close the clubs. These facilities attract the wrong types of people to our area. They decrease property values and reduce potential tourism. The probability of prostitution at any place with closed off private sections is very high. We don't want to live, work, and raise our children in an area that says its o.k. to allow strip clubs. There's nothing wholesome or valuable about these places. The amount of jobs and the quantity of jobs provided is so miniscule as to be insignificant to our local economy. Please deter anyone you can from enabling these places to survive. If we stand united we can run these places out of town once and for all!
