Dear Linda,

I want to express my sincere gratitude to you, the volunteers and especially the supporters of Manasota Operation Troop Support for your continued support.  It’s amazing to know how many great people are out there who care deeply about our Service members.  Our Nation’s best and brightest have faced a great deal of adversity and devoted countless hours in securing our freedoms. Your support is a daily reminder of why we do what we do.

I appreciate all you have sent: the snacks, hygiene items, thank you notes and gifts.  All was well received.  I shared with all in my office and sent some to the smaller, isolated FOBS in Afghanistan.  The thank you notes are the best part of the package (snacks are great too).

Your generosity and well wishes have lifted our spirits at a time when we are away from our Families and friends.  I couldn’t be with them this holiday season, but I am grateful to spend it with the guys I work with.

Linda, a special thank you goes out to you for all you do. It’s true patriotism and honor that makes this country so great.  And to see those characteristics on display through selfless acts such as these that I truly appreciate.  It’s reassuring to know that there is an organization out there that supports our men and women in uniform and will welcome them back home with open arms and a “job well done”.  Your selfless service and patriotism will not be forgotten.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Sincerely, Jesus Mares, SFC, USA, Executive Administrative Assistant
