Share With Our Military At The July Packing Party For The Troops

Update on Manasota Operation Troop Support Packing Party for the Troops

Manasota Operation Troop Support will have its next monthly Packing Party for the Troops on Saturday, July 14th at 9 a.m.  It will be held at the MOTS office and warehouse at 4301 32nd Street West, Suite C-20 in Bradenton, north of Cortez Road in .  If you have been before you know how much fun it is and how it makes you feel good for the rest of the day.

The past week has been busy for MOTS with a Sandsculpting Class for Military children on Anna Maria Island that was a great success with 42 in attendance.  Thank you to Entre Nous for providing a $500 grant to host this program that brought military families together for food, fun and fellowship.  It was so popular that we are planning another one before the end of the year.

On July 3rd MOTS hosted 115 Military veterans, families, and friends at the Marauder Independence game and fireworks.  Perfect weather, lots of postcards signed for our troops, and great fireworks turned it into a successful patriotic gathering for our local families.

July 6th keep the weekend lively by showing up at "Tunes For Troops", a benefit hosted by local soldier Lance Biddle, with proceeds going to Manasota Operation Troop Support. Free entry for Veterans, Police, EMT, Firefighters, and children under the age of 10. Four bands, two bounce houses, food, beer and vendors will make it one big party from noon to midnight on Friday, right behind Crab Trap Two in Ellenton.

Welcome Home, Lance and thank you for paying it forward to help MOTS keep supporting our troops headed out to Afghanistan.
