Dojo Martial Arts Students Repeat As Champions!

If the sport of Karate had a World Series, the US Open ISKA World Martial Arts Championships would be it.  Hosted every year at the Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida, The US Open facilitates the best of sport Karate competition the world has to offer. Over 3000 competitors from 42 different countries of all ages, ranks and experience came together to compete July 11th  & 12th, 2014 for their shot at a coveted US Open World Martial Arts title.

Bradenton’s Dojo Martial Arts students, Mason Ware, Jaaron Langley, Ethan Crews, Noah Tratz, Cole Hauser, Mason Bergquist, Adam Schwanzer, Omar Schwanzer and Matthew Curry, together as a team brought home 8 World Championships, 30 Trophies, and 9 Medals from the most prestigious tournament in the world. 

 “They fought like Lions and behaved like Gentleman. Great sportsmanship and Honor! I couldn’t be more proud of my students.” said Dojo Martial Arts owner Master Kevin Bergquist.

It has been an exciting summer for the students at Dojo Martial Arts, in June, the students were invited to Cocoa Beach to be extras for the film, ‘The Martial Arts Kid’ starring Don “The Dragon” Wilson and Cynthia “Lady Dragon” Rothrock, due out in theatres in 2015.
