US Mart, a retail store selling only made in the USA products is joining forces with the third largest American Legion post in the state of Florida for a Labor Day Celebration on September 2, 2013.
The American Legion, NO-VEL Post 159 invites the public out for a chicken and beer barbeque from12:30pm – 2:30pm and live music from local band Bandana from 3pm – 6pm. Chicken lunches are $10 and pitchers of beer are $6. There will also be a full bar available inside. The Sons of the American Legion are hosting the event to be held at 1770 E. Venice Avenue, right across the parking lot from US Mart.

U.S. Congressman Vern Buchanan field agent Danny Bilyeu will address the crowd at 1:30pm with a Labor Day message and Goodwill Manasota Veteran Program Manager, Christopher Davis will speak about the Veterans and their Families Job Fair being held the following weekend. Other speakers to be announced.
Patrons who visit the American Legion on Labor Day are invited to walk over and shop for all-American novelty items at US Mart, and 20% of all proceeds that day will be donated back to the American Legion. “When we opened this store earlier this year, it was with American pride and a tremendous passion for giving back to our service men and women,” said Molly Kraut, owner of US Mart in Venice. “We look forward to partnering with our parking lot neighbor, the American Legion for a great Labor Day celebration,” said Kraut.

AmericanLegion NO-VEL Post 159 has close to 3000 members and is the third largest post in Florida and the ninth largest post in the United States. Proceeds from US Mart’s Labor Day donation will go to the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation.
