The Living Nativity

Sarasota, FL – Over the years, thousands of residents and visitors have traveled to Sarasota to see the Living Nativity, The Story of Christmas. “It’s a community Christmas event that brings families back each year as part of their holiday tradition, because it’s message is about the true meaning of Christmas”, says Dwain Kitchens, Senior Pastor of The Tabernacle Church. The Living Nativity transports viewers back over 2,000 years to the little town of Bethlehem for a one-of-a-kind Christmas experience the whole family will enjoy. The performances will take place on Thursday, December 11th through Sunday, December 14th with two evening performances at 7 and 8 pm. Admission is free to the community event.
The Living Nativity features nearly 100 cast members, live animals, and flying angels. Attendees will be able to interact with costumed cast members and kids will be able to pet manger animals. A hospitality area will serve guests hot chocolate, coffee and holiday cookies. Before each performance audience members will be entertained by special music. All performances are held outside, weather permitting.
The Tabernacle Church is located at 4141 DeSoto Road in Sarasota just 2 miles west of I-75 off University Parkway. For more information, please call the church office at (941) 355-8858 or visit the website at www.thetabsarasota.org.
