Amazing Artifacts: An Archaeology Adventure
People have lived in Florida for a very long time- as long ago as 10,000 years! We find evidence of their lives in the ground beneath our feet. Pieces of the past such as pottery sherds, shell tools, and beaded jewelry give us clues to the lives of early humans in Florida. Come learn to excavate artifacts while practicing how to throw a hunting atlatl, build a chickee hut from materials in nature, and create your own beautiful pottery.
