Lee Wetherington Homes is pleased to welcome Amy Baldwin-Smith, ASID to the design team as Director of Design.

An interior design graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Baldwin-Smith has lived in Sarasota for 18 years.

She will lead the design team at the expansive 5000 square foot Lee Wetherington Homes Design Center located in Lakewood Ranch.

Baldwin-Smith’s extensive experience includes working at Robb & Stucky furniture store and design center and she has designed model homes for builders including WCI Communities and Taylor Morrison.  “Amy brings a wealth of experience and customer service expertise to our growing team,” said Peter Mason, vice-president of sales and marketing for Lee Wetherington Homes. “We are expanding our team in several areas as the market continues on an upward trend. We could not be more pleased with the addition of our new design team leader to help our growing number of homeowners with what we are known for-award winning design.”

Baldwin-Smith’s specialties include working with texture and color and she says interior design is something she has loved since she was a child. “When my friends were dressing up their Barbie dolls, I was more concerned with what the interior of the doll’s house looked like! Now, what I love most about design is working with fascinating people.  I could not be more excited to join the team at Lee Wetherington Homes, known for its high quality design and excellent reputation and integrity,” said Baldwin-Smith.

Lee Wetherington Homes is building homes in eight different neighborhoods in Sarasota and Manatee Counties, for homeowners like Kathy and Dan Roche.  The Roche’s recently moved in to their Lee Wetherington home in the Royal Valley neighborhood inside Country Club East at Lakewood Ranch.

Originally from Chicago, the Roche’s looked at 16 different builders before narrowing their search down to three. “From the moment we walked inside the first Lee Wetherington model, we just fell in love with the floor plans and the company reputation is second to none. Everywhere we went, people kept telling us to look at Lee Wetherington Homes.  So being from out of town, we immediately knew this was a solid and highly respected company. We did our research and just found a great product, value, and great design.”

With more than 30 years of home building experience and community engagement, Lee Wetherington homes has built more than 2,500 homes in the most prestigious and sought after communities in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

Lee Wetherington Homes is esteemed by the most demanding of audiences.
