First Bank Local Staff Recognized For Volunteer Spirit

In recognition of their outstanding volunteer spirit in 2013, six First Bank employees in Bradenton, Florida received First Bank CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) Community First Awards. Combined, the six amassed 619.5 hours of service.

 

First Bank employees receiving Gold Level Awards were: Sherry Harris (Branch Manager, Village Green office, 7051 Manatee Ave. West), Anne Lee (First Bank President of Florida Retail Banking), and Cindy Rottkamp (CSR, State Road 70 Office, 3005 53rd Ave. East).

First Bank employees receiving Bronze Level Awards were: Twila Averill (Branch Manager, 53rd office, 415 53rd Ave.), Arcelie Gadewoltz (Customer Service Manager, State Rd 70, 3005 53rd Ave., East) and Janet Miller (Branch Manager, Cortez, 9819 Cortez Road W branch.

The First Bank CRA Community First Awards Program recognizes an employee’s service contributions to CRA-qualified organizations. Community First Awards can be earned by volunteering time towards CRA-qualified activities, which support one of the following criteria for low-to-moderate income individuals:

  • Affordable housing
  • Community services
  • Economic development
  • Revitalization

 

Bank system wide (Missouri, Illinois, California, and Florida), the 87 First Bank employees recognized spent more than 7,000 hours volunteering in their communities. The awards were broken down into three levels: Gold (at least 100 hours of volunteer service), Silver (50 hours), and Bronze (25 hours).
