Say Goodbye to Sweetbay

The supermarket chain's remaining stores will soon become Winn-Dixie locations.

Folks accustomed to stopping in at a local Sweetbay supermarket to pick up a few groceries on their way home will soon find a new name on the door.

Thanks to the impending buyout of the chain by Bi-Lo Holdings, Tampa Bay area Sweetbay locations will become Winn-Dixie stores, according to TBO.com. The highly publicized deal to sell the Sweetbay locations is expected to be finalized in early 2014. How soon after that the Sweetbay name will go away remains unclear at this time.
