Happy Birthday, Snooty: Bradenton's Beloved Manatee Turns 65
The oldest manatee in captivity is now a senior citizen.
Bradenton Mayor Wayne Poston and the staff at the South Florida Museum led the crowd in a rendition of "Happy Birthday" to celebrate Snooty the manatee's special day Saturday.
Snooty, the oldest manatee in captivity and Bradenton's beloved mascot, is turning 65 this weekend.
The museum and Parker Aquarium are celebrating all day with food trucks, kids activities and reduced admission.
