SCF Symphony Orchestra to Offer

The "Dial M for Murder" theme includes music by Mozart, Mussorgsky, Mascagni and Mouret.

The State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota Symphony Orchestra will feature Ms in a concert Nov. 15, in Neel Performing Arts Center at SCF Bradenton.

The "Dial M for Murder" theme includes music by Mozart, Mussorgsky, Mascagni and Mouret, as well as “Funeral March of a Marionette” and music from the “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” Guest Robert Moore from the Sarasota Orchestra will perform “Mozart's Concerto No. 3 for Horn” accompanied by the SCF Symphony Orchestra.

Conducted by Robyn Wilkes, director of instrumental studies, the SCF Symphony Orchestra is comprised of students pursuing a variety of fields including music, nursing, engineering, teaching and various other professions.

There are many other things happening in the SCF Music department before this concert as well! Come hear our Fall Festival of Music on October 2, see and hear our chamber music groups perform at the new Bradenton Riverwalk on October 18, and the Wind Ensemble has is presenting a concert of all Russian music on November 8.
