De Soto Seafood Festival Returns With Uncle Kracker
Uncle Kracker will headline the annual De Soto Seafood Festival, which starts Friday night.
How about some Kracker to go with that seafood?
Rock (and now country) singer Uncle Kracker will headline the De Soto Seafood Festival at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in downtown Bradenton. He will play his hits as well as new tunes from his album Midnight Special.
The festival itself kicks off Friday and continues through Sunday (see full schedule below) and takes place between 10th and 12th streets West. The cost is $2 and a portion benefits Manasota Operation Troop Support and Feeding Empty Little Tummies.

Besides music, there is plenty of fresh seafood to purchase and sample while you party the night away for during the Hernando De Soto Historical Society's chief fundraiser, leading up to the Grand Parade on April 27.
On Saturday, April 6, a free trolley will be available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The trolley will run from the Seafood Festival to the Downtown Bradenton Farmers’ Market, which will be moved that day to the Village of the Arts, several blocks south of its usual location on Old Main Street.

The April 6 trolley “trial run” will connect the SeaFood Festival, the Village of the Arts, and the City parking garage.
Two trolleys will each make a 30 minute circuit connecting the Seafood Festival, the Village of the Arts, and the city parking garage at 12th St. West and 6th Ave. West –just one block east of Bradenton’s new Downtown Transit Station. With two trolleys running, the maximum wait-time for trolley-riders should be in the 10-15 minute range at each of four stops.
