Wallendas Set to Perform at Mixon's Fruit Farm

The Wallendas will offer three performances during the annual Orange Blossom Festival in March.

The Wallendas will be the featured act at Mixon Fruit Farms' annual Orange Blossom Festival in March. 

The Wallenda's are set to offer three performances over two days, March 2 and March 3.

"We are really excited," said Dean Mixon. "An act like this should be a big draw.  I've seen them on television but never in person."

The Orange Blossom Festival is a free community festival and includes performances by students at several local schools. In addition, The Star Fire Dancers and Yesterdaze are lined up to perform at the annual festival.

There will also be over 80 crafters, food for sale and fun rides for kids.  The regular tram tour will also include a bear who may even do a few tricks for the visitors.

The Orange Blossom festival set for the first weekend in March will kick off a month-long schedule of events.

On March 7 the Yesterdayze Band will perform in the Pavilion from 6 p.m. to  9 p.m. There is a $5 entry fee.

On March 8, Mixon's will host a Health and Business Fair. There will be prizes, free screenings, the blood mobile, Goodwill and a shredding company. On March 9 Mixon's will host 15 local authors for a book signing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Groveside Market.   

The farm will host two Fashion Shows March 13 with Bealls and March 20 with Irene's Resort Wear.  Fashion show guests will enjoy 50 minutes of wine tasting and instruction. Dallas Smith,a  magician, will also perform. Orange Blossom catering with provide a plated lunch.
