Viewfinder: The Final Touches at Riverwalk Park

Volunteers from Community Haven helped to plant a butterfly garden as workers put the finishing touches on the park before next week's opening.

Residents from Community Haven helped last week to put the final touches on a butterfly garden at Riverwalk Park.

Kirt Dakin, horticulture instructor at Community Haven, worked with five clients on planting the butterfly garden. Valerie Kirby, Mike Niesen, Michele Bogusz, Chris Bennett and Leonard Smith all volunteered to plant the garden.

Workers were also at Riverwalk installing lights over the skate park, putting final touches on the amphitheater and finishing the playground and splash park.
