Sunday's Small Plane Crash Was Fourth in Less Than a Month
All four accidents involved small, privately owned unconventional planes.
A small plane crash Sunday involving an 82-year-old pilot and an experimental ultralight aircraft was not as rare as it may sound, at least in southwest Florida.
Pilot Eugene Massa was hospitalized with injuries but is expected to survive. According to Bay News 9, Massa has 30 years of experience flying small planes.
The crash is the fourth this year of a small private plane in the Manatee County area.
