This week's adoptable dog is Kelly, a black and white Boston Terrier mix who is full of personality.
Kelly, a one-year-old spayed female, is playful and outgoing. Kelly walks well on a leash and loves attention and food. Her girlish figure has earned her the nickname of Tootsie Roll. She has been with Manatee County Animal Services since March 25. You can visit Kelly at the county's downtown adoption center today, during the adoption event. Don't miss today's adoption event where you can get free food and a great companion in Palmetto from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Most dogs and cats are available for a $35 adoption fee. Some animals are available for the $10 license fee. The downtown adoption center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
July is a great month to adopt. Manatee County Animal Services is showing its patriotism by offering “Red, White and Blue” specials for the month of July. Adoption fees for both dogs and cats are $35, a huge savings to the public with $55 off dogs and $35 off cats. In addition to regular specials Animal Services is offering a few dogs free to good homes. Check out . Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
