3. The Fisher Family of Fisher Honey Bees from Land O Lakes will be at the on Saturday to answer questions and share their knowledge about the secret lives of honey bees. The program includes a PowerPoint program at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., a “Crush & Strain” honey extraction demonstration at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. An Observation Hive will be on view from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with honey products available for purchase.

4. This is the final week of performances for the Manatee Players Production of The Sound of Music by Rodgers and Hammerstein. The musical plays through October 9. Performances are Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $11 for students.
