RIVIERA DUNES COMMUNITIES SHARE THE SPIRIT OF THANKSGIVING

Palmetto, Florida;  November 26, 2013 -- Knowing that many Palmetto neighbors and families would enjoy some extra help in celebrating our annual Day of Thanks, the Riviera Dunes  communities of Bel Mare and Laguna enthusiastically supported the Mayor’s Feed the Hungry Food Drive. It was the second consecutive year that the two Riviera Dunes communities participated in the annual Thanksgiving collection of food.

“Between Bel Mare and Laguna, our residents collected almost half-a-ton of food, a donation that was further enhanced by a generous cash contribution,” commented Anne Buchanan who supervised this year’s food drive for Bel Mare.  “Our results represent a thirty-five percent increase over last year’s collection.”

The food will be distributed to Palmetto residents by Mayor Shirley Groover Bryant and Palmetto City Commissioners through the Mt. Carmel Community Resource Center.  Buchanan adds, “It is gratifying to know that our efforts will bring smiles to hungry faces as we all celebrate Thanksgiving.”
