Manatee Glens Creates Giving Circles

MANATEE GLENS CREATES GIVING CIRCLES

(Bradenton, FL)…. Manatee Glens has introduced Giving Circles as a grassroots way for small groups to contribute in large ways. Giving Circles have been in place around the world for decades.  The local Community Foundations have many already in place. They are simply an enjoyable way for like-minded people to get together, network, enjoy each other’s company and at the same time combine their money and decide where to donate it. The Giving Circles Program was announced at a Ladies’ Tea this week.

“There’s no limit to what a group of committed, passionate people can do when they unite for a cause that’s significant to them,” says Manatee Glens Chief Development Officer, Janet Ginn, CFRE. “Giving Circles simply make sense. Donors can accomplish more good, learn more, make better decisions and have more fun when they give together.”

They will decide together if they want to contribute to the general operations of Manatee Glens or to specific scholarships, programs or events. For example, a$500 gift can provide supplies for a Client Art Show, a $1,000 gift can provide a Scholarship for treatment for  a sexual assault victim in the Manatee Glens Rape Crisis Center, and a $2,000 Giving Circle grant can provide treatment to a child and family in the Children’s Community Action Treatment (CAT) Team.
