Bradenton author constructs a future based on today's realities.
'Duncan at Green River', 2050: forty-years after the world's economic engine ground to a halt, and the civilization disintegrated. Our global infrastructure soon collapsed; stranded and starving people rioted for food. Only those who banded together, and built fortresses survive the marauders bent on taking what they have produced.
A new renaissance begins; people of science and education are redeemed. Young Josh Duncan, himself a renaissance man, leaves his compound to explore the western United States. He arrives at Green River, Wyoming, the region's source of salt, and encounters man's inhumanity to man. With the help of Bernie Olsson, they fight the compound's evil tyrant, protect its people from raiders from the north, and birth a center for inter-compound communication.
Duncan at Green River is book one of three. Book two available early 2014.
