Koran Burning Foiled: Florida Pastor Terry Jones is making headlines again. He was on his way to a Polk County Park Sept. 11 to burn nearly 3,000 Korans in recognition of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks when deputies caught up with him. Jones and Marvin Sapp Jr. were charged with unlawful conveyance of fuel, according to the Tampa Bay Times. What do you think about Jones’ antics? Scott’s Gator Hunt is Off: Florida Gov. Rick Scott won’t charge supporters $25,000 each to join him on a gator hunt later this fall. Huffington Post Miami says the pricey event was taken off the books after questions about the logistics of such a fundraiser were brought to light. The state only allows 5,000 gator hunt permits during alligator season, which runs throughNov. 1.
