Paddlesport America is a 4 hour introductory course offered by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. It is designed to meet the boater education needs for operatiing a paddlecraft - specifically a canoe or kayak. The course includes a wide varity of information, including:

• General information about paddlecraft maintenance
• Information to make your paddlecraft experience safer
• Tips on how to be a more courteous boater
• Laws & regulationsto which you must adhere to.

This course is not an on the water skills training class. The best way to to learn basic and emergency paddling strokes and techniques is by taking a hands-on course with a qualified instructor.
