But we still need 30 more for the Spanish\, French and Chinese students coming in July and August. Ho st families don't have to be millionaires to host a student. They just n eed to provide the student 3 meals a day\, a bed and transportation to E F course center or bus stop for field trips. Host families are interview ed in their home and provide references and pass a back ground check. Th e must also attend an orientation to learn about the program. Everyone i s welcome to apply\, families\, single parents\, retirees\, couples!\nTh e Spanish /French group will arrive July 5th and leave July 30. This gro up is an immersion program. They spend 24/7 with the host family. But th ey enjoy one field trip a week and host families can join us on the trip s. We will be going to the beach\, Tervis Tumbler Store because the stud ents get to decorate their own cups. We will also be going to Airheads i n Tampa. If you have a teenager at home your teen can earn 60 community service hours toward Bright Futures.\nThe Chinese group will arrive Augu st 2 and leave August 17. This is a general group and they go to school M-F 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. This is a good program for working families. The students spend 4 hours in the morning is class learning English and Amer ican Culture. Then every afternoon we take them on a field trip to area attractions. This group will also go to Tervis and make a glass. They wi ll also be going to local beaches\, parks etc. And host families can joi n us on the afternoon trips. And if you have a teen at home they will ea rn 45 hours for hosting one of these teens. The course center for this g roups class room time is 515 Upper Manatee River Rd\, Bradenton\nThe stu dents \; range in age from 9 - 17 years old. They bring their own sp ending money and are fully medically insured. Host families read student profiles and pick the student they would enjoy hosting.
