DESCRIPTION:S. RUSH DEAN\, Bradenton acrylics and oils artist\, has been 
 chosen as Featured Artist for September at Island Gallery West. Ms. Dean
  has enjoyed a 20-year career teaching design\, drawing and color theory
  at the University of Maryland and Design at the Corcoran School of Art 
 in Washington\, D.C. Ms. Dean is also a longtime member of Island Galler
 y West and is well known in both Manatee and Sarasota counties for her b
 old yet tranquil landscapes. The theme of her exhibit will be "Beach Lif
 e."\n&nbsp\;\nIsland Gallery West\, located at 5368 Gulf Dr.\, Holmes Be
 ach\, is a co-operative of 25 local artists offering original\, affordab
 le fine art. Mediums available are watercolor\, acrylic\, oil and mixed-
 media paintings\, fiber art purses\, baskets\, jewelry\, scarves\, photo
 graphy\, stained glass and greeting cards. The exhibit runs from Septemb
