More About Rossi Park
Rossi Park — also known as Anthony T. Rossi Waterfront Park — stretches along the Manatee River in downtown Bradenton. It is home to a lighted boardwalk, playground, ampitheatre, emergency services personnel memorial and a distinctive clocktower.
Originally developed in the 1980s with the help of a federal grant, the park sits on land known as the Sandpile that was created in the 1960s by dredging of the river.
Rossi Park is also the future site of the Riverwalk, a recently approved, $6 million improvement project that will upgrade walking paths and lighting and add a skatepark, water feature, public art displays, an outdoor concert venue, free Wi-Fi and more. It is also the home of the popular Reels at Rossi Park, a free, outdoor monthly movie screening for families, as well as many other downtown, outdoor events.
