Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

This Old Bungalow Making Great Progress

The renovation of our 1925 bungalow at 1114 12th St. West in the Village of the Arts is moving along.

We've begun the process of patching up the older walls in preparation for painting the soon-to-be Arts & Eats Restaurant and Gallery. Next week the hood and suppression system for the kitchen will be delivered and installed. Once we actually have a kitchen, we'll feel like this is really a restaurant!

You can see from the photos that we've begun to paint some of the walls. The tiling should be going up in the bathroom this week, and we expect the tin ceiling to be installed within a week or two. This beautiful old bungalow has undergone an amazing facelift.  We can't wait to see the completed project.

We're already arranging to have music, great food, indoor and outdoor dining and fabulous art. Jim has put together the draft of a menu that is innovative, international, gourmet, and delicious. More on that coming up in another blog post.

We're going to New York for a visit with friends and family over the next 2 weeks, so look forward to seeing lots of progress when we return.

Don't miss the Village ArtWalk Friday night from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nice to see interior improvements at the Village Artwalk......
Now,..... when will the exterior buildings, streets, sidewalks & yards get a clean up? If this cute village wants guests, it must be more presentable.

Cut the grass..... paint the fences.... powerwash the sidewalks.....pick up the trash around the buildings..... PLEASE!!

Thanks for the comment, Peter. We're working with the city to enhance the Village. It's in everyone's interest to make it as beautiful as possible.
