Six More Exchange Students Need Homes Now

We're almost there. And even though we're past the deadline, we're working to find homes for six more exchange students.

All of the girls are placed. We jus need homes for six boys ages 13 to 17. Eache of the students is 100% medically insured and students bring their own spending money.

Students send profiles with photos, letters, medical back grounds, English skills, etc. to host families who can read the profiles and choose the student that would fit best with their family. Students are studying English in school and want to come to Florida to improve their skills and learn about American culture first hand.

We need six homes for Spanish students here July 5 to 30. We also need a home for an 11-year-old Chinese boy who will be here August 2 to 17.

Host Family Responsibilities are to provide a bed. Students can share a room with host family children, there is a 3 year age and same sex requirement. Familes must also provide three meals a day. Many students love to cook food
from their country for their host family. You also provide transportation to a weekly field trip or course center Monday through Friday for the Chinese group. And finally, a safe loving home. You don't have to be a millionaire to host!

Host families provide three references, and can expect a visit and application meeting in your home by our staff. Go to Intelicorp site and enter your info for our background check.

English must be the primary language spoken in the home. Everyone is welcome to apply, families, couples, single parents and retirees.

Host Families receive 24 hour a day staff back up. Host family high school students receive 60 community service hours towards Bright Future Scholarships, discounts on future trips with Education First Tours Division and a wealth of knowledge about another country.

You also have an opportunity to teach a foreign student about our culture and a knowledge that you are bringing the countries together and forming life long friendships.

As soon as a family is matched with a student they will be allowed to email the student.

I look forward to answering any questions about the
program. Email HstAKid@aol.com  or call my cell at 941 545 7300. We don't pay families to host but if you refer someone and they host we will donate $50 to you.
