Violent Crimes Task Force Investigates Shooting
No one was injured in Friday night's shooting.
The Violent Crimes Task Force is investigating a Friday night shooting at an intersection.
Witnesses told the Manatee County Sheriff's Deputies that shortly after 10 p.m. two men pulled up in the middle of the intersection of 9th Street Ct W and 35th Ave W in a white Astro type van.
The two then got out of the van, stood in the intersection and shouted "West side" and began to fire rounds into the parking lot where people were sitting, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. No one in the parking lot was hit by the gunfire.
Witnesses said that 5-7 rounds were fired by the subjects before they drove off on 35th Ave W. The van apparently had a flat tire at during the incident. One suspect was heavy set wearing a white t-shirt and the other was medium build wearing all black.

You could get more tips from these type of stories if you would include the race and gender of the suspects. I read one story telling people to be on the look out for a person on a bicycle. Once I compiled my list of the 845 people on bicycles that I had observed for some reason the police acted as if the weren't going to go and look for these people and question them. The police then informed me they were looking for someone on a red bicycle, if I would have known that from the beginning it could have been useful.

The story does say two men. That doesn't really narrow it down very much and even if it was two white men or two black men or one white and one black it wouldn't really narrow the scope either. It certainly wouldn't get it down to 845 people in the pool of suspects.
