The Bradentucky Bombers' Bomb Squad defeated Fort Myers' Palm City Punishers in a riveting match that kicked off the 2011 roller derby season on Sunday.

The Bradentucky Bombers, Bradenton's rockin' roller derby team, opened their season in style Sunday at Astro Skate and Family Fun Center. Their "A-Team," the Bomb Squad, edged the Palm City Punishers from Fort Myers in a tightly contested bout.
The hits were vicious, the action fast and furious, and the event benefited a good cause, with proceeds going toward the Women's Resource Center.

due to further review. the Fort Myers team won. Bradenton emailed the team with new of their defeat , with a recount of the score. the final actual score was FM 154 Bradenton 147.
