Two Teens Dead, Four Others Critical After Car Crash

A 14-year-old boy and 16-year-old birl were killed when the car they were pasengers in lost control on a curve on Bishop Harbor Road.

Two Bradenton teenagers are dead, after the 2004 Nissan Altima they were riding lost control on a curve along Bishop Harbor Road.

The car veered on to the shoulder, hit a fence and went into the woods, hitting several trees.

Fernando Palacios Alonso, 14, and Rosita Palacios Alonso, 16, both of Bradenton were killed in the accident, which happened at about 4:20 a.m. Saturday, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The report indicates that none of the teenage passengers was wearing seatbelts.

Four others are in critical condition, most of them are at Blake Medical Center. They are:

  • Diego Damian Aguilera, 19, of Bradenton who was taken to Tampa General Hospital;
  • Keyhla Ibarra, 16, of Bradenton
  • Ernesto Alonzo Ramirez, 17, of Palmetto
  • Efrain Reyes Jr., 21, of Bradenton.

Reyes is believed to be the car's driver, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. The seating locations of the occupants are still being determined.

Five of the six occupants were flown to hospitals in critical condition.
