Three Arrested After Home Invasion
Two juveniles and one Sarasota man were arrested after they allegedly robbed a home at gunpoint.
When a 27-year-old Bradenton man opened the front door of his home Friday afternoon he was suddenly starring down the barrel of a black semi-automatic handgun.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, the victim was then ordered to the ground and two suspects entered the home.
The suspects later identified as a male 17-year-old juvenile and 27-year-old Aaron Schroder, allegedly stole a Play Station 3 and a lock box containing an unknown amount of cash.
Deputies said after the robbery, the suspects fled in a SUV driven by a 15-year-old juvenile female.
Leads were gathered and both the male and female juveniles were identified and arrested without incident, according to the arrest report.
Schroder was located at his listed residence, at 7340 Phillip St. in Sarasota, but fled on foot at the presence of law enforcement, authorities said.
Deputies gave chase and after a few hundred yards, Schroder gave up, jumped on top of a vehicle and yelled for the K-9 dog not to be released on him.
Schroder was taken into custody without further incident, the report said.

What a shame...we can't even answer our doors in this town anymore without worrying if an armed invader may lurk on the other side. The worst thing I ever used to have worry about being at my door was a Girl Scout selling cookies and not having enough money to buy them ALL from her...lol Now it's considered too dangerous for kids to be on foot going door to door because of all the criminals on the streets. Glad they caught these losers this time, but with two of them being juveniles they will get off with barely a blemish on their records. The other guy will probably get a slap on the hand...needs a slap in the slammer for at LEAST 25 years for armed robbery. We wouldn't have so much crime if the laws we have were strictly enforced.

I never answer the door any more without my hand resting on my Glock 26 in my pocket. If it's after about 10:00 PM, it's in my hand.
