Suspected Gang Member Arrested

Deputies had been searching for Manuel Ramirez, wanted on murder charges and suspected gang activity.

A manhunt is over for an alleged member of Manatee County's SUR-13 gang wanted on murder charges.

Manuel Ramirez, 20, was arrested by the U.S. Marshal in Atlanta. He is being held in Atlanta. The sheriff's office does not know when he will be returned to Manatee County.

Ramirez was one of 13 people wanted in a recent gang investigation. Detectives believe Ramirez and Daniel Robledo were involved in the shooting death of Rolando Martinez-Rosales, 52, whose body was found in the 4100 block of 8th Street Court East.

Robledo was charged with murder, conspiracy and racketeering during last week's round-up of gang members.

Deputies arrested eight of the 13 suspected gang members immediately after executing a search warrant on Oct. 10.

They are still searching for four suspected gang members:

  • Feliz Falcon, 21   
  • Juan Falcon, 18     
  • Britney Vela, 19    
  • Jorge Reyes, 18     

The four are all wanted on RICO and conspiracy charges. The sheriff's office is asking that anyone with information on the suspects or where they might be contact the Manatee County Sheriff's Office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
