Suspect Wanted on Attempted Murder Charge After Sunday Shooting

Sheriff's office has a warrant out for the arrest of Robert N. Jean, 35, following an early morning Bradenton shooting sent a man to the hospital with about six gunshot wounds.

A 23-year-old St. Petersburg man was shot early Sunday morning in Bradenton, and investigators have a warrant out for the arrest of a suspect on a charge of attempted murder, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reported.

Robert N. Jean, 35, is wanted for attempted murder, shooting within a building and use of a firearm during commission of a felony after a man was shot around 3 a.m. in the 5600 block of 15th Street East, according to a news release.

Deputies found the victim lying on the ground with about six gunshot wounds to his upper torso and legs, the release states. He was transported to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, where he underwent surgery. There was no word on his condition.
