Silver Alert Issued for Bradenton Man

The 85-year-old missing man has dementia. He was last seen Thursday, when he left home in a 2009 red Lincoln, with the Florida tag: 'CHUCKAY.'

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office has issued a Silver Alert for an elderly Bradenton man with dementia who has been missing since Thursday.

Charles Vanvoorhees, 85, was last seen at his home in the 3000 block of 21st Court West, on Thursday at 5 p.m. He was last seen driving away from the house in his 2009 Red Lincoln MKZ with Florida tag number CHUCKAY.

Authorities believe Vanvoorhees could be in danger, because he has dementia and heart problems. The credit card belonging to him was shown to have been used within the last 24 hours in the Fort Myers area.

Anyone who sees Vanvoorhees or his vehicle is asked to contact the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, at 941-747-3011.
