Scooter Driver Robbed While Stopped in Traffic
A blonde woman with a pierced lip and her knife-wielding male companion stole money from the victim.
A scooter driver was robbed early Sunday while stopped in traffic on 35th Avenue, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.
The 42-year-old victim told authorities that he was distracted by a blonde woman with a pierced lip and blue pants who approached him and started talking, at 14th Street West.
As the woman stood in front of the scooter, a man walked up next to the victim and put a knife at his side. He demanded money. The couple then fled.
The victim called 911 after seeing the pair enter a home in the 1200 block of 35th Avenue West.
Deputies found 29-year-old Adrian Conde hiding in the house and arrested him on a charge of armed robbery. The female suspect is still at large.
