This week's list: 5 best places to buy a steak in Bradenton ...

  • , 1040 Carlton Arms Blvd., is one of Bradenton’s best hidden dining gems, tucked away in the Carlton Arms Plaza. The restaurant’s elegant, upscale setting and impressive wine selection make it the perfect location for a romantic dinner. The filet mignon, New York Strip and prime rib on the menu make it one of the premier local restaurants to treat oneself to a delicious steak, and the seafood items and duck on the menu are to die for as well.
  • , 320 Cortez Rd. W., has plenty to boast about: Authentic Creole-style Cajun dishes, 100 percent organic grass-fed burgers, hand-cut French fries, and daily drinks specials – but it’s their cut-to-order steaks that land them on a spot on this week’s Patch Picks. Located near the DeSoto Square mall, this is one local pub that you do not want to pass up.
  • , 616 10th Ave E., has an impressively diverse menu and a reputation seducing passersby with the tantalizing smells that emanate from its kitchen. Owner/executive chef David Shiplett was recently featured as a Patch “” – and it’s easy to see why. The Crispy Cracklin’ Calamari Salad and other seafood items may have the most buzz surrounding them, but red meat enthusiasts know this: you simply have not lived until you’ve tasted SoMa’s flatiron steak grilled au jus. It is sinfully delicious.
  • , 3611 1st St., does steak a little differently than the other restaurants mentioned on this list – but trust us, it’s definitely worth your time. Samurai Steakhouse is a hibachi restaurant where talented chefs put on a highly entertaining show as they prepare meals right at the table. Samurai bought the location from another hibachi restaurant, Domo Steakhouse, in early 2010, and has quickly built a reputation for itself as one of the best Japanese steakhouses in the area. The steak and filet mignon options on the menu are cooked perfectly to order and can be paired with a number of other succulent items including lobster, shrimp, tuna, chicken and more.
  • Outback Steakhouse is, of course, one of the most popular steakhouses nationwide. With two locations in Bradenton at and , Outback Steakhouse is the place to be for anyone seeking a reasonably priced, tasty steak served up with a little Aussie flair.
