Motorcyclist Hit as Van Runs a Red Light, Police Say
The 54-year-old driver of the Harley-Davidson was thrown off his bike and onto the windshield of the Dodge Caravan.
A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries Sunday, when a Dodge Caravan ran a red light on 15th Street East and hit him.
The accident victim – a 54-year-old Bradenton resident – was thrown off his Harley-Davidson and onto the Caravan's windshield, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The victim was rushed to Blake Medical Center.
Roger Darling, the 39-year-old driver of the van, was charged with failure to stop for a traffic light.
Three occupants of the Dodge Caravan were taken to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.
