Memorial Announced for Assistant Principal Wendy Suarez
Services have been announced for Wendy Suarez, the assistant principal at Jessie P. Elementary School, who died last week after being hit by a car.
A memorial service to honor the life of Wendy Suarez, assistant principal at Jessie P. Miller Elementary in Bradenton, will be held Saturday, March 23, in Sarasota.
The memorial service is at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sarasota, 7900 Bee Ridge Road.
The service will be followed at 2:30 p.m. by a "Celebration of Life" at Jessie P. Miller Elementary School Cafeteria, 601 43rd St. W, Bradenton.
Suarez died last Friday when she was struck by a vehicle while on a car trip.
The school community is welcome to send flowers to the church or bring food (preferably finger food) to the school at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
A Memorial Fund in Wendy Suarez's honor is being established, and it will be attached to a 5K Run being set up by Jessie P. Miller Elementary.
More information about this will come later, but the run is tentatively scheduled for May 11th at Jessie P. Miller.
