Manatee County took the season't first win with a huge score against Sarasota's Riverview.
While last week's game was a nail-biter decided in overtime, on Friday night the Canes came out with a clear message to their opponents and the fans alike.
There would be no stopping them in their march toward victory.

This might be the best football game story ever written! I feel like I'm in the front row, seeing for myself the unstoppable march toward victory. I also like the use of sentence fragments for added emphasis. Awesome! Writing! Technique! And I like that the story wasn't bogged down with stats and quotes and all that other junk that "real journalists" use in their stories. This read more like a nice Haiku.
