This place was founded in 1918 with money from industrialist and philantropist Andrew Carnegie and recognized in 1987 by the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

It is the old library. We spent many happy hours there. Back in the 60's we would take the city bus there and back, coming home with armload of books. Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys were my favorites!

1405 4th Ave W Bradenton, FL 34205 This is the historical Carnegie Library. They have live story telling there for Halloween! I plan on taking my beautiful, 3-year-old grandaghter, Natalie this year! I will enjoy this as much as she will! And it is free!
