Bradenton Gladiators Take Down the X-Men

The team traveled to Jacksonville on Saturday and brought home a decisive victory.

The Bradenton Gladiators dominated Jacksonville's X-Men on Saturday bringing home a 27-7 win in their second game of the season.

The Gladiators defense was formidable throughout the game.

Chris Peterson ran the ball for the first touchdown of the game with just 2:13 left in the first quarter. A personal foul was called on the X-Men on a blocked extra point attempt. The Gladiators second attempt for the extra point wasgood and the team took a 7 point lead going into the second quarter. Jeff Charlton scored in the second quarter making it 14-0 at the half.

Quarterback Nicholas Kirby pulled a fast one by carrying the ball for 19 yard in the third quarter.  

The third quarter started off with a bang.  Craig Carnes received the punt return and ran it in for the third touch down of the game. The X-Men answered back with a touchdown with 9:42 left in the game. 

Gladiators Quarterback Nicholas Kirby pulled a fast one by carrying the ball for 19 yards to the 1 yard line in the third quarter. Chauncey Jones carried the ball in for the fourth Gladiator touchdown. The X-Men blocked the extra point making the score 27-7 going into the fourth quarter. 

The Gladiators will visit Largo on Saturday to play the Bay Area Warriors at Suncoast YMCA, 1801 119th St. N. in Largo.
