Brad Steube's Win Clinches Re-Election
The Manatee County Sheriff beat his Republican challenger for the top law enforcement job.
Sheriff Brad Steube will be Manatee County's top law enforcer for another four years.
Steube beat his GOP opponent in Tuesday's primary with an overwhelming victory. Steube collected 32,442 votes to challenger William Waldron's 8,972 votes. Steube had 78.3 percent of the vote to Waldron's 21.6.
There is no Democrat running in the race, so Steube has no challenger in the general election, which virtually guarantees he keeps the top lawman's job and is re-elected sheriff.

He never actually 'ran' before,so don't say 'RE-elected" he was put in by good old boys then, and the retired- millionaire -sheriff got their vote again today, mostly
Democrats,in a Republican primary, when he actually 'ran for election"

That seals it - I'm getting back my concealed weapons permit post-haste. Crime has been spiraling exponentially out of control in Manatee County, with the number of crimes and their level of severity ever-escalating. I put the blame squarely on Steube's failed leadership. I don't expect anyone to be able to stamp out crime entirely, but I do expect my elected leaders to do SOMETHING to justify their lofty positions. Fellow honest, law-abiding citizens; get your permits and arm yourselves immediately - it's the only hope for your family's safety so long as you plan to remain living in Manatee County!
