A man dressed in black who appeared to be carrying a gun, stole $76 from Subway, 6041 26th St. West, at about 8:30 Saturday night, the Manatee County Sheriff's Department reported.
The man, about 25- to 30-years-old, was wearing a camouflage hat, black shirt, pants and shoes as well as a black cloth over his face and latex gloves as he entered the Subway store and told a worker, "I need money."
The suspect approached the counter and kept his hand in his pants and under his shirt, as if he were holding a gun. The worker opened the cash register and the suspect took $76 before fleeing out the door and running north of the Bayshore Crossings Plaza. The suspect has not been located.
