It's Raining Kittens at Manatee Animal Services

Be like Tristen Woods and adopt a kitten this week.

This week's adoptable cat is any of nearly three dozen kittens now available at Manatee County Animal Services.

Tristen Woods, 8, came into animal services on Friday with his mom and picked up a sweet kitten that he has named Rebel. Rebel is going to his forever home where he will have a friend in Tristen and another 5-month-old kitten named Ryland.

Rebel was among about 30 kittens at Manatee County Animal Services. Most of the kittens were fosters from the spring and are now ready to be adopted.

You can visit kittens at the Manatee County Animal Services downtown adoption center this week. The downtown center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

August is a great month to adopt a kitten. Animal Services is offering a back to school special on all adoptions — kittens are just $60 in August. Adoptions at Manatee County Animal Services include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check and microchip. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
