Adoptable Cat of the Week: Wizard is All Personality
He's just one of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.
This week's adoptable cat is Wizard, a short-hair tuxedo cat.
Wizard is a two year old neutered male who will greet you when you come home. He has been with Manatee County Animal Services since February 26 when he was picked up in the 3400 block of 14th Street W. You can visit Wizard at the Manatee County Animal Services downtown adoption center this week. The downtown center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
If you adopt Wizard this month his adoption fee is just $10. All kittens are also $10 and the shelter has plenty of kittens this month. Adoptions at Manatee County Animal Services include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
For more information, visit www.mymanatee.org/pets or call 941-742-5824. The animal services webpage features updated photos and descriptions of the pets available for adoption. Pet owners can also use the site to locate missing pets.

Manatee County Animal Services is now offering shelter dogs and cats that have been at the agency for more than 90 days free to good homes. (As my friend likes to say: "if it's free it's for me and I'll take two!") Pick up a couple of these great animals if you are able and willing to provide a good home and a lot of love.
