Adoptable Cat of the Week: Lots of Kittens Still Available.

They are just some of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.

This week's adoptable cat is an unnamed black domestic short-haired kitten.

The kitten is a 4-month-old neutered male who is spry and curious. He has been with Manatee County Animal Services since May 24 when he was picked up as a stray. You can visit this kitten and several others up for adoption at the Manatee County Animal Services downtown adoption center this week. The downtown center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

July is a great month to adopt a cat. All adoptions are $35 in July. This is a huge savings to the public with $55 off dogs and $35 off cats. Adoptions at Manatee County Animal Services include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
